Andrea Lebel, a practicing Physiotherapist since 1982, specializes in the treatment of Scoliosis, Hyperkyphosis, Spinal Conditions, and Postural Dysfunctions throughout Canada and internationally. She treats all ages, including Early Onset Scoliosis, AIS, and Adult Scoliosis.
Having Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) herself as a teenager, Andrea underwent conservative treatment in Europe, and has a deep understanding of what teenagers and their families go through when initially diagnosed.
In 2008, Andrea became the first Schroth Certified Physiotherapist in Canada. As the owner and director of the Scoliosis Physiotherapy & Posture Clinic in Ottawa, Canada, Andrea has successfully channelled her success with the conservative management of Scoliosis and reinforced her goal of enhancing non-surgical physiotherapy methods (PSSE and bracing) for scoliosis treatment and pre and post surgical rehabilitation.
Andrea co-founded Scoliosis and Spine Online Learning (SSOL) in 2018 to teach health care professionals and extend awareness globally.
Andrea Lebel has over 40 years of clinical and hospital experience in all aspects of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and exercise in orthopedics, geriatrics, Parkinsons, and sports injuries. Her clinical practice and research is now focused on scoliosis and back disorders, and she is regularly invited to participate at international symposiums and conferences .

Dr. Hagit Berdishevsky, PT, DPT, specializes in scoliosis and spine rehabilitation for non-operative, pre operative and post-operative patients of all ages. She is the owner of the Scoliosis and Spine Physical Therapy Clinic in New York City (also known as SchrothNYC) and the יציבה טובה Center in Israel. Dr. Berdishevsky teaches for Scoliosis and Spine Online Learning (SSOL), which she co-founded in 2018.
Dr. Berdishevsky graduated in 1998 from the Wingate Institute’s Physical Education and Sports Science Program in Israel with a specialty in Postural Defects Cultivation. She received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College, part of the City University of New York, in 2005, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (with a specialty in sports rehabilitation) from St. Augustine University (Florida) in 2013.
Dr. Berdishevsky, DPT received her certification as a Schroth Physical Therapist from the Asklepios Katherina-Schroth Clinic in Germany in 2009, the same year she was certified by the McKenzie Institute in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT). In 2011, she was certified by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) in Spain, and in 2013 became a Teacher for BSPTS. From 2017 to 2021 Dr. Berdishevsky, DPT served as Chair of the Education Committee for the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT), and served as a SOSORT Board Member from 2021 to 2022.
Dr. Berdishevsky, DPT worked for ten years at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) as an Advanced Clinician and, as the first certified Schroth therapist in New York City, she introduced the Schroth practice to HSS. She then joined the staff of Columbia University Medical Center in order to institute and develop a Schroth clinic and served as Co-Director of the Non-Operative Care for Spine and Scoliosis Department. At the same time she developed her private clinic, SchrothNYC, and taught extensively around the world. In addition to teaching BSPTS from 2013 to 2020, she co-developed and taught Pilates Adaptation for People with Scoliosis as well as Integrated Wisdom: Yoga Adaptation for People with Scoliosis.
In 2018 Dr. Berdishevsky, DPT co-founded Scoliosis and Spine Online Learning (SSOL), which is devoted to educating and training professionals in the scoliosis community. SSOL has a current reach of nearly 100 countries across 6 continents and provides current, science-based education from the world’s foremost experts in the field of scoliosis and other spinal conditions.

Dr. Berdishevsky, DPT regularly lectures on scoliosis, radiology, osteoporosis and other spine-related topics at conferences and to community groups. Based in both New York City and Israel, she teaches throughout the United States and internationally.

Meredith is a board certified and licensed Physical Therapist with specialty areas in orthopedics, scoliosis & postural dysfunction, vestibular & balance rehabilitation, and yoga therapy. She graduated with her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998 and is the owner and director of Kioko, a boutique private practice in South Florida. She is a 500 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, and is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapy. With her background in Neuroscience and Psychology from Vanderbilt University, Meredith has always had a passion for mind and body integration.
Meredith is an advanced certified therapist (C2) in the Schroth Method for Scoliosis though the Barcelona School of Physical Therapy for Scoliosis (BSPTS) under the wise guidance of Dr. Manuel Rigo. Because of her expertise and engaging teaching style, Meredith is a highly sought after teacher of Anatomy and Physiology for yoga teacher trainer (YTT) programs throughout the United States. She facilitates workshops that integrate the principles of the Schroth Method with the science and wisdom of yoga.

Lise Stolze, MPT, DSc, NCPT, CSCS is a scoliosis and spinal conditions specialist for adolescents and adults. She teaches for Scoliosis and Spine Online Learning (SSOL) and is an SSOL-Schroth educator. She is certified through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS C2) and Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS 2). Dr. Stolze owns Stolze Therapies: Scoliosis, Spine and Movement Arts in Denver Colorado, an orthopedic physical therapy clinic and studio for Pilates and movement. She is an active member of the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT).
Dr. Stolze earned her master’s degree in physical therapy (MPT) in 1992 at the Wichita State University, and her doctor of science degree (DSc) in orthopedic physical therapy in 2011 through the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Her doctoral dissertation: Derivation of a Preliminary Clinical Prediction Rule for Identifying a Subgroup of Patients With Low Back Pain Likely to Benefit From Pilates-Based Exercise was published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in 2012. That same year, Dr. Stolze became an affiliate faculty member for the Regis University Physical Therapy program in Denver Colorado, where she served for two years.
With a strong passion for exercise and movement, Dr. Stolze became a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) in 1994 through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She trained with Fletcher Pilates and Polestar Pilates and became an educator for Polestar in 2001. She is certified through the National Pilates Certification Program. She trained and was certified in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® in 1995, and is a registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Teacher Alliance. Dr. Stolze serves on the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Research Committee.
Understanding the need for fitness professionals to be knowledgeable in coaching clients with scoliosis, Dr. Stolze co-founded the course: Pilates Adaptations for People with Scoliosis Supporting the Principles of the Schroth Method in 2016 and has presented this course internationally through Polestar Pilates. This course is currently expanding as a broader online course: Scoliosis and Spine Conditions Pilates Master Class.
Dr. Stolze has presented nationally at the PMA annual conference, the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting, and at Pilates on Tour. She has presented internationally at the annual SOSORT conference and at the 10th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back & Pelvic Girdle Pain.

Bio

Carole Chebaro is a physiotherapist specializing in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Health Science (Physiotherapy) from McMaster University (2004), an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from York University (2001), and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto (2002).
In 2009, she co-found of Neurocore Physiotherapy & Pilates Centre Inc., Carole provides individualized care while leading an interdisciplinary team. She is an SSOL Schroth-certified physiotherapist specializing in scoliosis management and an IBITA-certified Advanced Bobath therapist focusing on the assessment and treatment of adults with neurological conditions. Her certifications include Stott® Pilates (2009), Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (Level 2), Acupuncture & Cupping (2013), Bioflex Laser Therapy, PoNS therapy, and functional electrical stimulation (MyndMove, Bioness). Carole has also completed professional development in the McKenzie method, Garuda practice, Kinesiotaping and Craniosacral therapy techniques. Most recently, she pursued specialized education in pelvic disorders in neurological patients.

Rebecca Hurst, MPT is the owner of Advanced Scoliosis Care, a clinic dedicated to the exclusive treatment of scoliosis and spinal disorders for patients of all ages. She enjoys the ability to structure treatments in a private environment in a one-on-one setting to help patients reach their individual goals while also creating group classes for adolescents to provide peer support in a fun environment.
Rebecca Hurst graduated from UTMB in 1997 with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She is certified through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (C2), the Scientific Exercise Approach for Scoliosis (S2) and worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Schroth Barcelona Institute from 2014 to 2019. Rebecca is also a certified Sacroiliac Practitioner through the Hesch Institute and certified in Medicupping through the Ace Institute. She is a member of the Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Treatment (SOSORT) and serves on the Scientific Committee.

Ms. Emily is a highly accomplished physiotherapist with over 17 years of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2008, establishing a strong foundation for her career. Driven by a passion for specialized care, particularly in scoliosis management, she has pursued extensive post-graduate training. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first physiotherapist certified in BSPTS C2 (Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School C2 level) in the South East Asia. Ms. Emily also holds certifications in various Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) methods, including SEAS, FITS, and ISST. Further enhancing her expertise, she completed a Master Course on Principles and Practice of Scoliosis Conservative Treatment. To complement her scoliosis and musculoskeletal focus, she has also attended numerous musculoskeletal related and taping courses, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. In 2012, she established a scoliosis management clinic at Penang Adventist Hospital, demonstrating her commitment to specialized care, before later relocating to Singapore.

Bio

Dr. Nara is the founder and director of Physio Elements Physical Therapy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University and Master of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. She is a certified specialist of orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Board of Specialties. She trained extensively under Diane Lee and Linda-Joy Lee (LJ) in using the Integrate Systems Model. ISM uses a whole-body approach to discover a true driver or the source of where the pain is coming from. Dr. Nara is certified at the advanced C2 level by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) Schroth-based method and was a lab assistant for the C1 and C2 level courses between 2017-2020. She is also certified at the advanced SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) 2 level by the ISICO Institute in Italy.
She also received extensive Pilates training using all the Pilates apparatus through BASI (Body Arts and Science International) and is certified in pre/post-natal Pilates through Center for Women’s Fitness. She is trained in visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute and is a certified women’s health coach from the Integrative Women’s Health Institute. She is certified as a Kinesiotape practitioner (CKTP) through Kinesiotaping Association International and is also certified in the Graston Technique. She has a varied array of post graduate certificate trainings such as Active Release Technique for lower extremity, TRX for medical professionals, Kettlebell training through Strong First, Animal Flow (with the inventor, Mike Fitch), Maitland Technique, Mulligan Technique, Pelvic Floor courses through Herman and Wallace, Shoulder/Knee courses with Kevin Wilk, to name but a few. She has taught Barefoot Training Specialist workshops as a Master Instructor with the Evidence Based Fitness Academy. Dr. Nara is a wife and a mom to two beautiful daughters and enjoys pursuing and incorporating a healthy lifestyle as well as motivating her clients to do the same.
